A South Carolina boat for South Carolina water
Sea Pro builds in-state, and the hulls are drawn for the Lowcountry pattern: shallow marsh mornings, wind-against-tide inlets by afternoon, a nearshore run when the forecast allows. Buying a boat built in South Carolina has a practical upside too. Parts move fast, and we keep the common pieces on our own shelf.
The lineup, by how you'll use it
The bay series is the volume end, 172 through 250, and the mid-size bays are where most buyers around here land. The 202 Center Console and 262 Offshore DLX carry the range toward the jetties, with the 262 taking twin Yamahas for the days you run past them. The Sandbar series, the 225 and 245, is the family line, a console boat with pontoon-grade seating for people who fish some weekends and float the others.
Money-wise, the 172 Bay has started around $33,900 rigged and the range climbs well into six figures at the offshore end. Every listing shows its number.
Where these boats run around here
A Sea Pro handles everything this coast offers. The deep-V entry and self-bailing decks are built for Murrells Inlet, the Little River jetties, Winyah Bay and the nearshore Atlantic, and that's why we rig them on galvanized or aluminum trailers by default. The same boats run the fresh Intracoastal just as happily, and plenty of Sandbars spend their Saturdays idling with the pontoon crowd. One habit either way: flush the motor after any salt trip. Cheapest habit in boating.
